Itinerary

Day 1: Venice – Welcome to the Floating City!

Ciao! Your Italian adventure begins in Venice, one of the world’s most magical cities. In the evening, join your tour hosts for a welcome boat ride through the stunning Venetian lagoon. As the sun sets, you’ll be swept away by the romantic atmosphere, setting the stage for the incredible days ahead.

Day 2: Venice – Discovering Venice’s Rich History and Beauty

After a delightful breakfast at your hotel, get ready for a day filled with Venice's most awe-inspiring sights. We’ll start with a visit to the 10th-century St. Mark’s Basilica, a masterpiece that fuses Eastern and Western architectural styles. Explore the basilica’s fascinating museum and gaze upon the famous Horses of St. Mark, which have a storied history dating back to the 4th century.
Next, we’ll visit the Doge’s Palace for an exclusive, intimate tour of its hidden chambers, including the notorious Bridge of Sighs and the Venetian prisons. After a guided walking tour through the labyrinthine streets of Old Venice, including a visit to the Rialto Bridge and the famous Fish Market, take time to indulge in a delicious Venetian lunch.
In the evening, enjoy a serene and romantic Gondola ride through Venice’s canals, a once-in-a-lifetime experience as you glide along the waterways that define this city.

Day 3: Venice to Florence – The Heart of the Renaissance

Start your morning with a leisurely breakfast and some free time to explore Venice’s charming nooks and crannies. Later, we’ll board a high-speed train to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance.
After arriving, enjoy an afternoon walking tour through Florence’s historic center, with stops at the Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, and the famous Ponte Vecchio. This evening, immerse yourself in the culinary culture of Tuscany with a TOLY Signature Dinner, where we will savor a world-renowned Florentine steak, cooked to perfection.

Day 4: Florence – Artistic Masterpieces and Spectacular Views

This morning, brace yourself for an unforgettable experience as we climb to the top of Florence's iconic Duomo, designed by Brunelleschi. From here, you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the city, with its red-tiled roofs and surrounding hills.
We’ll then visit the Galleria dell’Accademia to witness one of the world’s most famous sculptures: Michelangelo’s David. This extraordinary masterpiece of Renaissance art is a must-see, and you’ll have time to admire its flawless details. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore Florence at your own pace—shop for artisanal goods, wander the medieval streets, or take in Florences wine windows.

Day 5: Florence to Tuscany – A Day in the Countryside

Get ready for a day of breathtaking landscapes and indulgence as we journey into the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Our first stop is Siena, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning medieval architecture and the famous Piazza del Campo, where the Palio di Siena horse race takes place each summer.
Next, we’ll visit a family-run Brunello winery in the rolling hills of Tuscany, where we will tour the vineyard and enjoy a 0 km lunch—a delicious farm-to-table feast made with ingredients harvested from the farm itself.
Our final stop will be San Gimignano, a charming medieval town known for its towers and perfect for a leisurely stroll. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy gelato, widely considered to be some of the best in the world, before we head back to Florence.

Day 6: Florence to Rome – A Journey through Time

After breakfast, we’ll take the high-speed train to Rome, Italy’s capital and the heart of the Roman Empire. Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to our centrally located hotel, perfectly situated for exploring the city’s many treasures.
In the afternoon, join your host for a walking tour through the historical center of Rome. See the magnificent Pantheon, the lively Piazza Navona, and admire the awe-inspiring Four Rivers Fountain created by Bernini. As the day winds down, make your way to the Trevi Fountain—and don’t forget to toss a coin into the water to ensure your return to Rome! Enjoy a relaxing dinner at a local Roman trattoria.

Day 7: Rome – The Vatican and Ancient Ruins

This morning, we’ll head to the Vatican for an exclusive VIP tour, entering before the crowds. Explore the stunning Sistine Chapel, marvel at the intricate St. Peter’s Cathedral, and stand in awe in St. Peter’s Square.
Afterward, we’ll travel back in time to the Roman Forum and the iconic Colosseum, where gladiators once fought in front of thousands. Learn about the incredible history of these ancient ruins and take in the grand scale of Roman architecture.

Day 8: Rome – Exploring Ancient Rome and Hidden Gems

Today, we’ll travel along the Appian Way, one of the earliest and most important roads of ancient Rome. Along the way, we’ll visit the ruins of the Baths of Caracalla—the colossal public baths that once served as an opulent spa for Romans.
Next, descend into the catacombs, where early Christians were buried in secret during times of persecution. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace—whether visiting museums, shopping, or enjoying the Italian cafes.

Day 9: Rome – Home (or Amalfi Coast)

After breakfast, you’ll have the option to transfer to the airport for your flight home—or extend your adventure with a 3-night stay on the Amalfi Coast! If you choose to continue, we’ll travel by coach south to Pompeii, the ancient Roman city frozen in time after being buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. After visiting the ruins, we’ll head to Sorrento, where we’ll spend the next three nights.

Day 10: Sorrento – The Splendor of the Amalfi Coast

Today, we’ll explore the picturesque towns of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello—each with its unique charm and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. You’ll have free time to explore, shop and explore. Be sure to sample the local Limoncello, a famous lemon liqueur from the region.

Day 11: Sorrento – A Day Trip to Capri

Today, we’ll embark on a boat trip to the enchanting Isle of Capri, once the summer residence of Roman emperors. Explore the quaint streets of Capri town and the heights of Anacapri, where panoramic views of the coast await.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat tour around the island and a chance to swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea before returning to Sorrento.

Day 12: Sorrento – Departure

After a relaxing breakfast, we’ll transfer by coach to the airport in Rome for your flight home, concluding this extraordinary journey through Italy. For those who have more time, continue to explore or take a relaxing seaside escape.
