Day 1 Flight to Zurich
Arrive in Zurich, Welcome to Switzerland. This evening you will meet your hosts for a welcome drink.
Day 2 Zurich- Montreux
We will travel by coach to Lake Geneva, where we will stay in the town of Montreux. Enroute we will visit Bern, the capital of Switzerland before heading to the town of Gruyere. Explore the local castle and sample the famous cheese before continuing on through the vineyards. This evening, enjoy the majestic lakeside views of the surrounding alps at our hotel.
Day 3 Montreux
Step back in time today and visit Chateau de Chillion, a Medieval castle belonging to the Savoy Family on the shores of Lake Geneva that inspired a Disney Film. Enjoy the journey back on a Steamer paddle boat. In the afternoon, we will travel through the lakeside vineyards for a private tour and tasting of some fine swiss wines
Day 4 Montreux - Murren
Our tickets are first class in the Golden Express scenic train passing some of the most spectacular scenery on earth. We head high up in the alps, via train, cogwheel and funicular to our cliffside alpine home of Murren.
Day 5 Murren
This morning we journey up to the 10,000’ summit of the Schilthorn. James Bond 007 was filmed here. Enjoy this top of the world view of over 100 peaks of the alps. This afternoon, enjoy scenic walking trails, or perhaps join your host for an incredible bike ride down the valley to see Trummelbach falls. For the extreme adventurers, perhaps the via feretta or tandem hang gliding
Day 6 Murren - Fussen
Travel by coach to Lucerne for a visit to see the famous chapel bridge, the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe. An opportunity to shop for some swiss chocolate or other souvenirs before heading onto to Germany where we will stay the next 2 nights in the Bavarian town of Fussen.
Day 7 Fussen
Castles await us today. Visit Neuschwanstein, the Castle built by Mad King Ludwig and was Walt Disney’s inspiration for Cinderella castle. Close by, is Ludwigs’s boyhood castle of Hohenschwangau. In the afternoon, test your skills and go racing down the hill on a luge. Perhaps for dinner, a hearty Bavarian meal of Bratwurst and a litre of beer welcome you to Germany
Day 8 Fussen - Salzburg
On the coach this morning, travel to Oberammergau the Bavarian village known for its once a decade Passion play. Explore the exquisite timber frescoed village before we journey on to Berchtesgaden and a tour to Hitlers Mountain home, the Eagles nest. After touring, we say farewell to Germany and cross the border to splendid Salzburg, Austria
Day 9 Salzburg
Waltz your way to the sound of music, for a morning tour exploring Salzburg’s long history and famous sights. A musical evening awaits in Salzburg castle. Time for shopping and exploring Mozart’s hometown. Don't forget to try the strudel.
Day 10- Salzburg – Hallstatt
Breathtaking views await you in ancient Hallstatt, an idyllic boat tour of the lake, a tour to one of the worlds oldest salt mines, and a quaint wooden hotel welcomes you. Your camera can not come close to capturing the beauty of this village.
Day 11 Hallstatt – Vienna
By coach, we head toward Vienna and visit the Hapsburgs former summer home, Schonbrunn Palace, second to only Versailles among Europe’s Grand palaces. After a tour, continue on to our centrally located hotel in Vienna
Day 12 Vienna
Once the capital of the mighty Hapsburg empire, Vienna has an enduring grandeur that still marvels today. Enjoy a performance at the Spanish riding school with White Lipizzaner Stallions dancing to Mozart. Afternoon is at your leisure, perhaps tour the recommended Hofburg Imperial apartments.
Day 13 Vienna – Home
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. ( or see below for Prague extension)

Day 13 Vienna – Prague
We set out on our early morning high speed train to the elegant and charming Capital of Czechia. The City of Prague. After transferring to our 5* hotel, a 13th century Monastery at the foot of the Castle, we will set out on a walking tour. Just steps away, see the Medieval Charles bridge, before continuing to Wenceslas Square and the historic old town.
Day 14 Prague
Prague Castle awaits, the traditional site of Czech Rulers. Visit includes St Vitus Cathedral, the old Royal Palace, and the golden lane shopping area. Enjoy panoramic views of the old city. Afternoon is at your leisure. This evening, consider a Czech Beer hall or one of their many nighttime musical concerts, or Jazz nightclubs!
Day 15 Prague - Toronto
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
