The Second World War reshaped the course of the twentieth century and demanded extraordinary sacrifice from nations and individuals alike. For Canada, the struggle was both distant and deeply personal. From the beaches of Normandy to the skies over Britain and the battlefields across Europe, Canadians played a vital role in the Allied effort to defeat tyranny and restore freedom. The landings on D-Day marked one of the defining moments of the war, and the courage of the Canadian soldiers who came ashore remains one of the most enduring chapters in our nation's history.
This journey reflects on Canada's contribution during the Second World War while also remembering the earlier generation whose sacrifice during the First World War helped shape Canada's identity and place in the world.

Day 1 – Flight to Paris – June 1/2, 2028
Welcome to Paris—the City of Light! This evening you will meet your hosts for a spectacular welcome dinner cruise along the River Seine. As many of Paris' most famous landmarks glide past, enjoy an unforgettable introduction to France and the beginning of our remembrance journey.

Day 2 – Pre-Normandy / British Invasion Beaches – June 3, 2028
Travel by coach to the historic region of Normandy, where the events leading to D-Day come vividly to life.
Along the way we will stop for lunch at La Ferme de Billy, where we will enjoy traditional Norman cuisine and warm local hospitality. This afternoon we visit the Pegasus Bridge Museum, home to the original bridge captured by British airborne forces during the opening moments of the Allied invasion. Nearby, we pause at the famous Café Gondrée, recognized as the first house liberated in France on June 6, 1944.
Continuing to Sword Beach, we explore the eastern sector of the British landings before arriving in the seaside town of Arromanches-les-Bains. Located at the heart of the Normandy invasion beaches, Arromanches remains one of the most significant communities associated with D-Day. After checking into our hotel, enjoy dinner and take part in local D-Day Festival activities.

Day 3 – British Invasion Sites – June 4, 2028
Today we explore Arromanches, forever linked to the liberation of Western Europe through the construction of the remarkable Mulberry Harbour.
Our morning begins at the Invasion Museum, where the extraordinary engineering achievement of the artificial harbour is brought to life. Afterwards we stroll the beach to view the remaining harbour caissons before enjoying lunch overlooking the English Channel.
This afternoon we visit the British Normandy Memorial, commemorating the 22,442 servicemen and women serving under British command who lost their lives during D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. We continue to the Arromanches 360 Circular Cinema and the nearby D-Day Garden, both offering sweeping views across the coastline and the remains of the Mulberry Harbour below.

Day 4 – Normandy D-Day Experience – June 5, 2028
Today we are joined by volunteers from the D-Day Academy, who bring history to life using authentic Second World War military vehicles.
Together we explore the Longues-sur-Mer Battery, one of the best-preserved German coastal batteries in Normandy; Advanced Landing Ground B-3, an airfield constructed principally by Canadian engineers following D-Day; and Abbaye d'Ardenne, headquarters of Kurt Meyer and one of the most significant sites connected with Canadian sacrifice during the Normandy Campaign.
Following lunch in the beautiful medieval city of Bayeux, the first major French town liberated after D-Day, we return to Normandy's Canadian sector.
This evening we gather at Bény-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery for our own private commemorative service, honouring the more than 2,000 Canadians who gave their lives during the opening days of the Normandy campaign.

Day 5 – D-Day Anniversary – June 6, 2028
Today marks the 84th Anniversary of D-Day, and it will be our privilege to honour the Canadians who landed on Juno Beach.
We anticipate attending several official commemorative ceremonies throughout the day, including the Canada House Ceremony in Bernières-sur-Mer, the national Canadian ceremony at the Juno Beach Centre, and the moving evening Lantern Ceremony.
Following lunch in nearby Courseulles-sur-Mer, we enjoy a guided visit through the Juno Beach Centre, its museum, preserved bunkers, and the beach where Canadian soldiers came ashore on June 6, 1944.

Day 6 – Dieppe / Arras – June 7, 2028
Today we begin the next chapter of our remembrance journey as we travel toward Arras and the battlefields of the First World War.
En route we stop in the seaside town of Dieppe, site of the tragic Dieppe Raid of August 19, 1942. Here we visit the Dieppe Canadian War Cemetery, walk the historic beach where Canadian soldiers fought, and reflect upon one of the most costly single days in Canadian military history.
After lunch overlooking the marina, we continue to the historic city of Arras, where Canadians played a pivotal role during the final Allied offensives of the First World War. Enjoy time to explore before dinner in the city's magnificent Grand Place.

Day 7 – The Somme – June 8, 2028
Today we explore the battlefields of the Somme Offensive, one of the largest and bloodiest campaigns of the First World War.
Our day includes a guided visit to Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial, followed by the Ulster Memorial before continuing to Albert for lunch and a visit to the outstanding Musée Somme 1916.
Throughout the afternoon we visit a number of Canadian cemeteries and memorials, which may include Adanac Cemetery, Regina Trench Cemetery, and the Courcelette Canadian Memorial, depending on group connections. Time permitting, we may also visit the new CWGC Experience, highlighting the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

Day 8 – Vimy and Flanders – June 9, 2028
This morning we journey to the magnificent Canadian National Vimy Memorial, Canada's most significant First World War memorial.
We will spend time exploring the new Visitor Education Centre, preserved trenches and tunnels, nearby cemeteries, and Walter Allward's extraordinary monument honouring Canadians with no known grave.
This afternoon we continue into Belgium and the Ypres Salient, where Canadian soldiers fought their first major battle and endured the first large-scale poison gas attacks of modern warfare.
This evening we attend the moving Last Post Ceremony beneath the Menin Gate, with members of our group participating in this nightly tradition of remembrance.

Day 9 – Flanders – June 10, 2028
Today allows for further exploration of the battlefields, memorials and cemeteries of the Ypres Salient.
Visits include Essex Farm, where Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae wrote In Flanders Fields; the St. Julien Canadian Memorial; Langemark German Cemetery; Passchendaele Canadian Memorial; and Tyne Cot Commonwealth War Cemetery.
Following lunch at Café De Dreve, where owner Johan has assembled an impressive private collection of First World War artifacts, we continue to the Passchendaele 1917 Memorial Museum before returning to Ypres for our final evening in Belgium.

Day 10 – Bruges – June 11, 2028
After days spent reflecting upon sacrifice and service, today we celebrate the peace and freedom secured by those we have come to honour.
Often regarded as one of Europe's most beautiful cities, Bruges offers the perfect setting to conclude our journey. Enjoy a relaxing guided bicycle tour through its medieval streets before experiencing the city's famous canals by boat. Along the way there will be opportunities to sample Belgium's renowned chocolates and traditional ales while taking in the remarkable architecture and atmosphere.
This evening we gather one final time for a special TOLY Tours / Honour Them Well Farewell Dinner, celebrating the friendships formed and the memories shared throughout our journey.

Day 11 – Departure – June 12, 2028
After breakfast, our remembrance journey comes to a close.
Transfer at your leisure to Brussels Airport for your flight home, taking with you lasting memories of the places where Canadians served, sacrificed, and helped shape the freedoms we enjoy today.

Day 11 – London – June 12, 2028
Today we continue our journey by train through the Channel Tunnel to London, where we will spend the next four nights at our centrally located hotel.
Upon arrival, we will enjoy a guided walking tour from Westminster to Trafalgar Square, passing many of London's most iconic landmarks along the way, including the Cenotaph, 10 Downing Street, and Horse Guards Parade.

Day 12 – London – June 13, 2028
Leave London behind for a full-day excursion to the top-secret heart of Allied intelligence. A short 40-minute train journey brings us to Bletchley Park, the unassuming country estate where brilliant codebreakers deciphered the German Enigma code, helping to shorten the Second World War.
As we tour the famous wooden huts, we will discover Canada's important yet often overlooked contributions to this remarkable achievement. Learn about the Canadian Wrens (Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service) who operated key interception equipment, and the connection between Bletchley Park and Canada's own secret training facility, Camp X, in Ontario.
Return to London, where the remainder of the afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy at leisure.

Day 13 – London – June 14, 2028
This morning, step back into history with a visit to magnificent Westminster Abbey, the historic church that has hosted the coronation of British monarchs since 1066.
Next, experience the pageantry and tradition of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace before touring the palace itself, the official London residence of His Majesty King Charles III. Originally built in the early eighteenth century, Buckingham Palace remains one of Britain's most recognizable landmarks.
After lunch, we travel beneath the streets of London to visit the Churchill War Rooms. Preserved much as they were during the war, these underground headquarters served as the command centre from which Sir Winston Churchill and the British Government directed the nation's war effort throughout the Blitz.

Day 14 – London – June 15, 2028
"Off with their heads!"
This morning, you're going straight to the Tower! We visit the historic Tower of London, where the famous Yeoman Warders—better known as the Beefeaters—will guide us through the fascinating history of this former royal palace, fortress, prison, and treasury.
This afternoon, we explore the heart of historic London, discovering centuries-old streets and traditional pubs dating back to the 1500s before gathering for our special TOLY Tours / Honour Them Well Farewell Dinner.

Day 15 – Departure – June 16, 2028
After breakfast, transfer at your leisure to the airport for your flight home, or extend your stay and continue exploring the British Isles.
